Another Dublin Bus Crash Leaves Two Hurt
Two people have been injured after another collision involving a bus in central Dublin.
It happened last night and is the fourth accident to hit Dublin Bus in two days.
Three separate crashes took place yesterday, leaving eleven people hospitalised.
A Garda spokesman said the bus was involved in the crash with a 4X4 at the junction of Townsend Street and Lombard Street at around 11pm.
The driver of the bus was taken to St Vincent's Hospital with minor injuries, while the driver of the other vehicle was brought to St James's hospital.
The four passengers on the 77 bus travelling from Tallaght to Ringsend are believed to be relatively unhurt.
Yesterday, a total of 10 people were brought to hospital after two separate bus crashes in north Co Dublin.
In the first incident, six people were hospitalised after a bus and a van collided in the Rush area of the capital.
Three passengers and a Dublin Bus driver, along with the driver and passenger of the van, were injured in the crash at 7.10am on the town's main street.
Dublin Bus said 10 passengers were on board the bus involved in the first crash, a 33 service travelling from Dublin to Skerries.
However, when traffic was diverted to avoid the area, a second double-decker Dublin Bus collided with a car in Sandy Lane in the town.
A spokeswoman said 71 commuters were on the 33X service heading into the city, which collided with a Golf GTi.
"Two passengers were taken to hospital and the two occupants of the car," she continued.
"All the roads are blocked and services are delayed."
None of those taken to hospital are believed to have suffered serious injuries.
